Portugal is a beautiful country in the southwest of Europe, located on the Iberian Peninsula bordering Spain. It also comprises the archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira off the coast, in the North Atlantic Ocean. From vibrant cities to rugged coastlines, amazing wine and delicious freshly caught seafood, it’s a country we would highly recommend visiting!

We spent 2 weeks travelling around Portugal and absolutely loved it! We started in the Northern region and moved south exploring the beautiful cities of Porto, Aveiro, Lisbon and Sintra before ending our trip in the beautiful algarve region. Whether it’s surfing and water sports, relaxing on the sandy beaches, exploring national parks or a city escape you are looking for, Portugal can offer it all.

Like most Mediterranean countries the Southern region enjoys warm weather during the summer months with mild winters whilst the North can experience cooler weather, especially in the winter months. We travelled at the end of August in to September and had a few cloudy days in the North regions but overall the weather was still very hot and sunny for most of our trip.
